Important Things With Demetri Martin

Anybody else watch this? I've watched a few episodes lately and Demetri is quickly becoming my favorite comedian. Hes hilarious.

Yeah, he's a funny guy. Can't say I'm smitten with the show though. I don't watch Comedy Central much and when I do it's either Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, or a Futurama rerun (til new eps in June!).

At first I thought he was funny but now I think he is enormously unfunny.

The show is occasionally funny, but the dude tries too hard to be hip, and sometimes seems afraid of being caught earning a laugh.

Haven't seen the show, but I like Demetri. Sometimes he can be hilarious.

His show is one where it's best just to watch the highlights on Youtube. When he's funny, he's really funny, but other times, it just seems stupid. The only times he really cracks me up is when he talks about something I can personally relate to, which is rare.

agreed, when he connects it's out of the park, but he's a home run hitter and stands there wiffing it most of the time.

At least his less funny stuff isn't as painful as the jeff dunham show. did that get canceled?

I haven't watched the show, but I love his stand-up. I also watched this thing where he wasn't really doing stand-up, but just talking about life with some jokes thrown in. It was surprisingly good.

I think the problem is his sketches. They usually are not funny. His standup is decent, and his whiteboard gig is the best.

I think his sketches are funny. The whiteboard is usually bettter though..

I think hes really creative with what he does, which is part of the reason why I like him.

Agreed, his sketches and whiteboard are both awesome to me. It's just refreshing to watch something different. It's also very relaxing when he plays the guitar/harmonica.

I've only seen part of one episode, which was basically stand up... I love his stand up.
