| Flanger experience! +++ YEAH!
I used a flanger from my MFX today at the worship set. It is a 2hr Harp and Bowl set. (Prophetic worship/intercession/soaking, think IHOP etc.Rev 5:14) It was awesome. It really sounds good with like a short feedback delay. The other members of the team arent privy to effects and such, but everyone was digging the sounds. One guy said it almost put he in a trance!
WoW, why have I never thought of this sooner!
Anyone else use the Flange for different worship things?
If so any good suggestions? etc...........
Good or bad experiences with it.
Also there is this sound I haven't got down that I'm looking for. It is like .8th delay with high pitched inversions with like a panning wah wah pedal type swells? but they aren't operating a wah? This is the best I can describe it. It sounds real U2 like? Anyone know how to do that? sorry if I am not clearly expressing this? |

As far as the effect your looking for... I would guess it is a crystal shimmer effect. This thread has some info on getting that sound. |

| Hello relient Nelson,
No it wasn't a scary thing at all. It was really cool. That crystal shimmer is cool, but not exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for the suggestion though. I wonder if it has something to do with reverse delay, layered with a digital delay? maybe with a slow flange? |

We'll be able to give much more helpful advice with a bit more of an idea of the sound you're looking for. |

| no, but that is a cool effect. I never realized how important reverb and be with some of these atmospheric sounds. |
