| What was your first car? some have very fond memories of their first car. i dont. my first car was a black '89 hyundai sonata. that car was really a piece of junk. this is back in the day when hyundai was a real piece of junk. i think that car spent more time in the shop than in our garage. then the paint started wearing off when we would go through the automated car washes.

| A 1989 Ford Escort Hatchback. I bought it from my sister. It was a fun little car that died when a power line fell on it and fried it. It was a cute electric blue car. I miss that car. |

| Nope, not kidding. The power line fell on my car and it took the fire dept over a half hour to get the power company to come shut off the power. We were worried that it would blow up and take out the front (and only exit) to our house. Scary stuff. But God protected us, and the only casualty was my poor little car. |

| '74 Ford Maverick. It was a small car with a 302 V8. Such a great car!
It also had the world's greatest air conditioning system - haven't had one that could compare to it since. |

| 1970 Ford Mustang coupe. 302, three speed, lime green, came furnished with green shag carpet. The owner before me was a Mexican DJ from Portland Oregon. I actually pulled a rosary out of the linkage in the tranny when I had some work done on it.
I miss that car. |

| My first car was a 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. My brother bought it at a local auction. It was rough and the original 440 engine was gone, replaced by a dead 383. We swapped in another 440 from a '67 New Yorker and I drove the car 1 time as it needed a lot of additional work.
Parked it on my ex-brother-in-law's property and then sold it to help fund my move to Cali.
In it's place as a daily driver I bought a 1980 AMC Spirit. The thing had a VW 4 cyl. and a 4 speed.
It looked cute (2 door hatch) but was pretty poorly built and was totally gutless. |

| I traded some car parts for a dark blue 1969 Chevelle Malibu Coupe basket-case when I was 12. A tree fell on it before I rebuilt the 307 SBC that I had been prepping for the rebuild kit I bought with my lunch money. The dreams I had in that rusty old car, with it's faded blue vinyl interior and yellow-jacket alarm system were mighty indeed. |
