Holy Grail/Crap!

So my fiance and I are on a trip to North Carolina checking out the church I'll most likely be leading worship for come June. We stopped by the pastor's wife's mom's house to pick up something and the husband took me down to the basement to look at some of his old musical equipment.

So we walk down there and he turns on the light in the corner of the room.

...

I was instantly transported back to the year 1970 and my jaw hit the floor.

A quick scan of the literal performance stage he had setup revealed:

A 1970-something "Acoustic" brand bass amplifier in mint condition.

A 1973 Hammond C3 rock organ.

A vintage Gretsch and and vintage Pearl drum kit.

But the icing on the cake......

A 1971, original first run, in mint cosmetic condition, MINIMOOG!!!!!!!

HOLY CRAP!

So anyways, turns out that according to this guy it doesn't work currently. But I told the pastor of this church how awesome they are and how valuable, and he's going to talk to his father-in-law and acquire it for the church and get it fixed! How killer is that?!?!

Basically, when my fiance and I move out here, we will own a minimoog that we payed absolutely nothing for. I am stunned. And that is all.

I'd be more exited about the drums than the Moog personally...

Well yeah, that's probably just related to what I would prefer to play, not what's really better.

Well...vintage Pearl kits from the 60s and 70s are weird MIJ concoctions from wha tI've seen...I don't blame him not getting too excited.

All the best keyboard instruments are from the 1970s anyway.

Besides, the most important question is does the Hammond have a Leslie?

No, that's why I didn't get as excited about it.

Actually the C3 was considered the Church / Classical Organ version of the B3 which was more of the theatre organ version, and had the Leslie speaker. The big difference between the B3 and C3 was how the presets were configured (the reversed color keys on the left end of the Keyboard), and the Leslie speaker of course.

I understand that, but many C3's are used for a rock organ sound today.

Dude I might kill for that Moog except I've got a softsynth plugin that sounds exactly like the original. I'm cheesey I know. Good stuff though!

This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight.
