The lyrics in the first verse came to me while I was at work. The rest I filled in afterwards.
Alot of my recent readings, and things I have been hearing the last few years, plus the rise of personal convictions regarding certain issues are the driving force behind these lyrics.

We manufacture our truths.
And telling subtle lies.
We try to get by.

Blood is spilled.
The bodies on the ground.
This is the injustice.

The innocent cry out.
And the opressed fall down.
A blood soaked ground.
A plea for mercy.

Opress the weak.
Its what you do.
A history of violence.
The inconvenient truth.
Quietly repressed.

Oppressed has two p's... /englishnazi

I like the idea of the last two lines, but I'm not sold on "quietly". I'm thinking an adjective that says quietly but also says something like sneakily at the same. Unfortunately, I have no such adjective in mind.

lol. Yesterday I was trying to remember how many P's there were. It seems that as time goes by my spelling gets worse and worse. Now Double P's are starting to go.


I cant really think of a word that would replace "Quietly" in that line. Though I was thinking of replacing Repressed with Supressed.

Also, I think Im going to make this song the first in a series of "Opressor" songs. So this would actually be The Opressor Pt 1.

This evening on the way home more lyrics came to mind, but I didnt want to add them to this song. So instead Im going to just make another song titled The Opressor Pt2. The lyrics that came to mind this afternoon were more from the perspective of the Opressor him/herself, and partly from the perspective of the Opressed.

silently? though quietly is an adverb, not adjective.
