| sold pod xt- need help Pre-warning; Different parts of this thread go in different parts of this forum, but since I dont think I should make three different small threads, I just made one here, since it all has to do with gear anway.
So i just sold my pod xt live for 255, when I bought it for 200. I've been trying to sell it for awhile, so im pretty excited it actually sold. It was to a nice worship pastor at a church. Cool guy, just trying to reduce stage volume so he bought this. I just felt like telling because I was pretty happy.
I sold it because im trying to get a blues junior, which i can find on craigslist 350-400, with the occasional one around 325.
Now the problem is, I need to figure out how to get that $100-150. Heres some ways I could get some:
on the 15th I get payed 22$ for babysitting at my church (I do it the first and third saturday of each month, and I get 22 each time. Get payed on 15th and 30th)
So by the 30th, i'll have 44 from that.
On the 27th, when my parents get payed, I can lawn mow for them which will give me $15. So now i'm at 60 by the end of month.
Those are my two main ideas for working, now for selling.
I have my original xbox, with halo one, and halo 2 (limited collectors edition) and some jetset future radio skate game up for 40.
And I have a pearly gates up for 40.
The main point of this thread is more ideas, but also wanted to say what I had for sale if anyone wanted anything.
So any ideas on how I could make some cash? And want anything that I have up?
Thanks,
Nathan |

| Get a job to support your increasingly expensive hobby.
You'll have some cash to spend, something to put on your resume, and something to keep you occupied...
And I've gotten a grand total of $0 for mowing the lawn for my parents. The way it should be, as far as I'm concerned. |

And maybe thats the way it should be, no pay from parents, but if they offer pay I aint gonna say no haha |

I literally used to knock on doors for days when I was about your age with a lawnmower, asking people if they wanted their yard mowed. It took persistence, but me and a friend got quite a little business going.
Of course, eventually you have to buy your own equipment because that much usage kills lawnmowers rather rapidly.
But really, it just takes time.
My first guitar took me 6 months to save for.

My first guitar took me 6 months to save for. | I put out lawn mowing flyers a couple of days ago. I got one neighbor just call me. Once the grass starts growing good, hes hiring me. twice a month. thats 30 a month from him.
then 30 from my rents a month.
then 44 from my church a month.
$100 bucks a month isn't that bad for me haha. but if i can get another neighbor or two to let me lawn mow thats even better. |

| Heckz ya. It might not be that much, but its better than the 44 a month i get now just from church.
Also, im pickin up a BJ tomorrow! Found a guy who had a blonde one up for 365, got im to lower the price to 340. I'm going to his place at ten tomorrow, to test and hopefully buy it.
I had $235, then i sold an xbox for 35, so i had $270, then my awesome grandmaw is loaning me a hundred bucks since i need the amp soon for youth group and stuff. but me and her already figured out a plan to pay her back, so ill get the amp soon for church, and she'll be payed of in a little over a month. |

| If that one doesn't work out for you the Guitar Center in Englewood, CO has a used black one on sale for $299 and a store model for $330. I played through it and it's working great (I actually temporarily bought it). I believe they'll ship it out to you if you call the store.

| yah i never heard of it, but i shopped with my ears, and love it. now im reading more about it. true bypass and its sounds transperant. very. but i have the thing set up where the amp by itself is clean or crunchy depending on my dynamics, then the fat footswitch pushes it some more for like regular distortion tone, then the warm blaster for solos |
