Anyone ever use any of the Vox cooltron line of pedals?

No one out there? Well i have one, the Big Ben overdrive. It is really nice, but I am not quite sure it is what I need right now as it is a great overdrive for using a tube amp, and I have been plugging into my MFX's processor then right to PA. This way seems best, and I can still get some good tone out of the Vox, just not at maxed out gain.

Initially I didn't reply cause I didn't think I'd used one. Then I looked into them and found that I had actually spent some time with one. Can't remember which model. It was one of the ones meant to function with a stand alone sound. I'd be interested to try the "Brit Boost" with my rig but whichever one I used was meant to be a standalone tone -not a booster.

I found it's sound okay but when I tried to drive it with a volume boost going into it, it fizzed and fuzzed quite annoyingly. I'm glad I didn't settle on it for my core tone. However I would be interested to see how the "Brit Boost" functions with my rig.

Are you using it as an overdrive tone on top of your clean or are you pushing your amp with it?

I am trying to use it as a layered overdrive with an overdrive on my MFX. I am not sure I am going to keep it now, because when I put the gain up high it starts to clip and fuzz out. It is meant for a tube amp I believe.

Yeah generally speaking, when you want to augment your tone with a boost from an overdrive it's usually going to yield the intended result with a tube amp. Maybe try cranking the level or volume on the pedal and having the gain set lower? See how that affects your already driven sound.
