But yeah I'm prolly going to look around for an H20 to see how that sounds? Seems to get pretty good reviews. I'm actually looking for a delay pedal as well, so I'll see if that fits the bill. |

But even if I was gigging with something else, I'm pretty sure I could get two of whatever that something else was for <$1000, $1500 at the most. |

| I've used a Boss Super Chorus and an EHX Electric Mistress. The EHX wins hands down- it actually has usable sounds, IMO. The Boss just seemed like it was designed to make swirly crazy sounds just for the sake of being weird. But I tend to look more for a rotary kind of sound for leads and stuff like that- the Electric Mistress has a flange and a chorus, and it does great at both. Plus, this thing is tough. It would have survived Hiroshima.

This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight. | |

| I'm aware of that, but a famous band using a stereo setup live isn't a good enough reason for me to do the same thing. I'm not saying playing stereo setups live is completely unheard of and ridiculous, but I personally wouldn't like hauling all the extra gear around, and I could use one amp head with a 2x12 cabinet (or a 2x12 combo) and mic both speakers separately (of course there's the scenario of mixing two different amps... But that's not something I really care for). And if I felt like buying two amps, my first thought would be to use one as a backup.
But like I said, if I had the extra cargo space and money to buy two amps, a live stereo setup would be a neat thing to have. |

| I have a modified EHX Nano-Small Clone. It's my most used pedal. It's fantastic.

| I use a Rocktron Deep Blue. Rocktron also makes one that has reverb (I believe) built in, for fuller sounds. It's a nice pedal, but I don't use chorus enough to really have a good standard for comparison. Also, it's a fairly large pedal, so if you're strapped for space (like I am) it's a bit of a pain. It works and sounds good though. |

| Personally I didn't like the chorus on the H2O. The delay is nice, but the chorus is pretty mediocre.
I've gone through a bunch of chorus pedals and my favorite one hands down was the Fulltone Choralflange. That thing was so amazing and versatile I started finding uses for it in places I never would have used it before. It just does everything so well and makes the difference between a digital chorus and a true analog chorus all too apparent. It kicked a EHX Small Clone off my board easily and made every other chorus pedal I owned sound thin and fake by comparison.

| Seems a bit pricey, but as far as a google search is concerned, it looks like it was discontinued? |

| Yeah, he discontinued it a while ago because he's been planning to release a new model that's supposed to be an upgrade from the original. He even has his own bucket brigade chips being made just for it. Unfortunately it keeps getting delayed for some reason. I'm not really sure why he doesn't just keep making this one until the new one is released...
Look at CFV-2 on his website for more info on the new one coming out.
You can often find a used one for around $150- 175 if you look hard enough. I bought mine used for $130 a couple years ago.
