If I were to trade a PS3 for an XBox 360, I would expect to get more than just the system out of the trade. Extra controller and a couple of games, for example.

If I were on the other side, trading my Xbox away, I would be willing to give up everything I have for it, including my racing wheel, games, battery charger and wireless network adapter.

Okay, so I have a deal lined up, I kind of need a quick response, but anyhow:

So the deal would entail:
My 40 gb PS3
2 controllers (1 wired)
NCAA Football 2010
Battlefield Bad Company
Battlefield 1943

for:
Xbox 360 elite Console w/ 20GB Hard drive
3 contollers
7 games (Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Halo3, Halo2, DDR Universe, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter, Gears of War, counter strike)
Guitar Hero 2 Guitar
DDR dance pad
original and carbon fiber faceplates
Comes with all cables including HDMI cable

It sounded like a pretty good deal to me I just wanted a second opinion. Of course I would test out the Xbox and all that stuff.

Yeah I think that may have been a typo...

Theyre phasing out pros AFAIK.
The order of model type/level of win is Arcade, Pro, Elite.
And the first one sounds better to me, unless you cant hardwire your 360 to the intarwebz, then the second may be better cuz the wireless adapters are like $100.

NINJA-EDIT: Oh, and live is nice too, but if you make a new account on it, it won't have gold, gold is assigned per account.

I vote for sticking with your PS3. I really think (hope) that they're going to become as common as 360s relatively soon.

i hate the PS3 and yes i play them often

just 360 is beter for me i know its not free to play online but ps3 online (to me) is not as good

Hey so how do you hardwire your 360? Wireless adapters are a ton, microsoft milks everything.. and so if he gave me gold with it, basically I wouldn't be able to use it?
FYI my computer is like 10 feet from my PS3 if that helps..

See I would do that, but the majority of my friends have 360's and thats really never going to change (the reason I am trading is to play with my friends)

To hard-wire it: Get an Ethernet cord, plug one end into your router/switch, pug the other end into the 360.
And if the Gold is already activated, it would only work for the one account its assigned to.

I think that the differences of the current gen of game systems are entirely based on the focus of the device. For example:

The PS3 was designed to be the most powerful gaming system on the market.
The WIi was designed to be great for families and for playing (in person) with friends
The 360 was designed to have the best online gaming network.

That being said. If online gaming is what you want then get the 360. Especially if that is what your friends have. Personally I would rather have the PS3.
