| 2010 Olympics I don't see a thread on this yet... Who watched the opening ceremonies? I saw part of it, and will hopefully watch the rest tomorrow. Is anyone going to be at any of the events? What event are you most excited for?

I wish I was going to some...but I'm not But, I'm really excited for all of them...in particular: Snowboarding/Skiing, curling, luge, skeleton, and bobsled! But all of them, hopefully my DVR can handle it all! |

| I got to watch the Russian pairs figure skaters practice a couple of times. They are using the rec center just down the hill from our house. That was pretty sweet, because there's no way we could afford tickets to any of the actual events. Daniel and I also plan to go to at least one of the free concerts happening as part of the Cultural Olympiad. Sam Roberts and Mother Mother on the same day... I'm excited. We may also go watch some of the hockey games at the rec center, since they'll have big screens set up and it will only cost a couple dollars to get in (plus it may be more fun in a big group).

| I'm really jealous of you Canadians right now. ...Well at least those in B.C. If I had a passport I'd make it up there this weekend to at least see the Olympic Torch (the outdoor one)! (if you didn't know, you need the passport to get back in the U.S.) |

| I'm so frustrated with CTV. Their coverage sucks. I was watching some skiing yesterday (Jennifer Heils silver medal), and that was the only event I saw, everything else was interviews. Most of whats been on today has just been talking as well, and then they showed the exact same event that I had already seen. Now they finally have speed skating on (which isn't terribly interesting, but better than the boring interviews). Anyway, you would think that they would have enough sports content that they don't need so much filler.

| Some of these sports I never knew existed. I was watching NBC yesterday, and there was some women's event, Where they would cross-country ski around a track, and then shoot targets, strap their gun to their back, and go around again.
What on earth? |

What on earth? | That is Biathalon. Extremely old sport.
One that I don't watch.
I have been loving my DVR. I am recording all kinds of stuff, and fast forwarding through events I don't care for. Yay! |
