Dang... those two Lugers (sp?) from Austria (in the men's doubles) almost went off the track in the same spot where that one guy died. Then they clipped the corner coming out of the turn. Thankfully nobody was hurt... they were definitely lucky.

Oh man, I need to get caught up tomorrow. Hopefully I get to the luge doubles!

Man, what a HUGE run by Shaun White! I think he reached the stratosphere! And Shani Davis first back to back golds in the 1500m! Basically, an amazing day for U.S.A. today!

I was happy to see Julia Mancuso win a silver in the Women's Downhill. She's from my area, and I went to school with her sister. Some of those crashes were quite amazing in a bad way.

Shawn White was simply amazing!

I have been very disappointed with the US curling teams. Bummer.

I am pumped for US vs. Norway in Men's Ice Hockey tomorrow. Er, today. Canada will blow out the Swiss.

Skeleton starts today. That's always some crazy stuff.

I love this stuff.

USA! USA! USA!
Almost more impressive were the two guys who had just gotten their degrees in Mechanical Engineering while training for the Olympics.

That downhill course was eating those ladies alive toward the end.. Looked pretty nuts. I don't think I've ever seen a course at that level in that bad condition before.

Czech vs Slovakia in men's hockey early this morning was great. Jagr was playing like a man possessed.

Canadian speed skater (forget her name) won a silver medal yesterday, that's awesome, she wasn't even viewed as a contender for a medal. Canada has six medals now, they're doing better so far than I thought they would be.
Besides all the delays due to terrible weather and Zamboni disasters, it's been a pretty good Olympics thus far. Canada has disappointed me in a few things so far, thats for sure, but it has still been enjoyable to watch for the most part. Makes me cringe at how much money is being spend though.

Jagr is still talented enough for the NHL, definitely.

Seriously, what is going on with the men's team? Today was the third day in a row they had a chance to take it in the tenth end, messed up, and then lost it on easy shots in the 11th. Hopefully the women can win this afternoon.

I wouldn't call that last shot easy... he needed to hit that stone at an angle, not dead on. Shuster is having a really rough games. They won the qualifier tourney, but they probably were not the best US team for the Olympics. They were surprise winners of the US tourney.

Well, okay, I'll admit that I was at school and didn't actually watch today's game. But the report I got about it was that it shouldn't have been an especially difficult shot. Shuster just seems to be having a lot of trouble so far.

I tried to watch Womens curling "US vs Denmark", but I couldn't take it. "MORE MORE MORE! WHOA! WHOA! HOLD!" Got very annoying very fast. Instead I watched the womens US hockey vs Finland (I think). Ididn't get to finish the game though.
