| Really, I think that the problem is simply immaturity and hormones. You could talk to them and explain that you like them both very much as friends and that it bothers you when they fight, but I think that this is just one of those situations that is caused simply by a lack of maturity.

The wrong shall fail, the right prevail
With peace on earth, good will to men.”

| As a former teenage girl, I can say with confidence that both of them like you as more than friends. So to them it's a competition to see which one can get you. So you definitely to sit them both down and tell them you like them as friends and nothing more. Otherwise you could run into the problem of leading them on if you don't nip this in the bud. And then they may both end up both turning against you. Girls at that age are very insecure and get jealous easily. So you may need to start hanging out with them when not in the presence of the other girl. |

| Look, all you need are some boxing gloves, a ring, someone to ref, stands for fans, and an appropriate ticket price. You can turn your friends problems into a business!
As mind blowing as that idea is, I am completely kidding. I would listen to what earlessdog and luvinjesus said.

I dont want that, i really care for those two like sisters any advice | Look, Archie, you can't invite both Betty and Veronica to the spring formal and not expect this to happen. Just make Veronica turn into mean Veronica by getting the gang to do a lot of low-class activities (like primitive camping, hanging out with Jughead's rural cousins, or spending a big sale day at the mall helping orphans -- which might backfire if she turns into Change-of-Heart Veronica) and she'll go to the formal with Reggie. Otherwise, you're going to have to find a way to dance with both without either noticing. This will usually end with a food fight in the Riverdale High gym, decorated with the "Under the Stars" motif by Ms. Grundy and Mr. Weatherbee.
Anyway, don't hug either of 'em. Simple. Solves that distraction. Not joking.
Second, if the two of them can't interact without fireworks, address this with each of them separately. Do NOT allow them to heap scorn on the other during this conversation. Just emphasize that you cannot be friends with either if they will not be polite around each other.

| I am astonished that no one has suggested jello wrestling yet.
Simply astonished.
