| Converting .vob files So I've got a burned DVD of a musical I was in I'd like to edit in Windows Movie Maker to eventually post on Youtube. However, the DVD is in .vob format, a file type I've never seen before. Windows calls it a "VLC media player file", ostensibly because that's my main media player. How would one go about converting a .vob into a format compatible with WMM?

| Have you tried Handbrake? It's pretty good at converting videos.

| You can use Power Video Converter. It's pretty amazing and works fairly well at converting all formats and files. Plus it allows the largest possible output sizes that I know of unless you want to pay HUGE bucks for a high-capacity converter...

| What are the max parameters though? Like, can you keep a 1280 width? or does it shrink to 790? Just wondering, been looking for one that does full-rez converts.

| There does seem to be an option to control output width. |
