RHODES.

On the acoustic side, though, I've always been partial to Mason & Hamlin Grands. Yes, even more than Steinways, and I've played plenty of Steinways.

I have to go with Rhodes too. I love the version of the song "Found" on the "Mighty to Save" album that's just vocals and Rhodes. Very soothing. Makes me think of Doogie Howser though.

I (sadly) haven't been able to play a very wide rang of pianos, but generally I prefer brighter sounding pianos. I like me piano because it can be very bright sounding (and very loud), but it doesn't sound over powering.

For uprights I like Sohmer, Yamaha, and a few others

For Grand pianos I like Steinway, K. Kawai (sp?), and Yamaha.

I dont really like keyboards. I say leave the paino noises to the real things. Synths on the other hand rock...

I love grand pianos simply because of how much sound they can put out. However, concert uprights/ upright grands are pretty awesome too.

Mine is a large studio upright, but you can still hear it from outside if it's the right kind of song.
