College is weird. I love it, in a sense, because it's getting me going toward my future. But I recently found out that the school I want to get into won't take transfer credits from an out of state technical college.. ohhh just great. I found out today, and yesterday was the last day to drop classes and still be able to get a refund.

Does the school have a placement test for the subjects? you might be able to get out of the intro level courses, and then use those credits to take things that are more interesting in the future?

Even if they don't have a placement test, talking with an advisor or a professor and explaining that you have already taken a similar course can prevent you from retaking it, and will enable you to reach major specific (IE more interesting) courses sooner.

So even if the credits don't transfer, all is not lost. Hope it works out for you!

Talk to an advisor yet?

That sounds pretty standard procedure to me, though...
