Watch the new Newsboys music video with Michael Tait!

Videos Posted by newsboys (official): "Born Again" *Official Music Video* [HD] | Facebook

My thoughts- WICKED! I thought In The Hands of God wasn't great, really just thrown together in a week. At least it seemed. This is good stuff. They've got a music player on facebook also with the other new songs on the EP. I like them but this song is my favorite.

This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight.

I admit, I haven't watched the video, but I heard them recently on the radio.

My first thought was that's Tait, and then I was like oh yeah, it's the Newsboys. (Sorry for the side story and nothing that really matters to this thread. I just wanted to point out that I'm still not thinking of them as the Newsboys first thing and I'm not sure if I'll ever get to that point.)

Ugh, that was just horrid. That was terrible. The lyrics were cheesy, and it just wasn't the Newsboys. I'd like to point out that there are 0 original members left now. They should not even be called the Newsboys, they're a Christian supergroup now.

I should point out that they've had various members in and out over the years as would be expected in a band with as long a run as they've had.

They're not the only Christian band that has eventually had an entire personnel change after several years. Petra and the Imperials come to mind.

Resistance to change is futile.

Yes but they've completely lost their identity now. There's nothing that makes them the Newsboys except that most of the band used to be in the Newsboys.

They've lost their mojo and they're bland.

I remember when they had attitude and balls. Now they have propecia, metamucil, and sunshine and rainbows.

Their lyrics are cheesy and boring.

They are NOT the Newsboys.

I say boo. As someone said on facebook, they sound like "Taity NewsTalk Boys from DC"....

I like old Newsboys. I like old DCTalk. I can tolerate Tait I suppose.... but this... boo. Double boo.

Sounds like someone threw Tait and what's left of the Newsboys into a washing machine along with Thousand Foot Krutch, added some "everything that's lame about CCM right now" detergent, then ran it through 1 too many cycles in the dryer.
