 | I'm smiling 'cos today was the church picnic, and it was loads o' fun...and the Bears beat the Vikings! Booyah!!!! Wow that just made me so insanely happy! After halftime I had gone with a few friends from church to finish up watching the game at a pub nearby, and it was sooo funny, 'cos everyone was getting so into the game  Go Bears! I'm also smiling 'cos I am sooo easily amused...wow, if only you knew what I was doing up until just a minute ago...hehe

| Smiling because God moved in such a powerful way at my church's back to school revival. Last year we had it just for the youth group (7th-12 grade)...but this year, it happened that we had to combine with the adult service b/c of the guest speaker. Well, we weren't too happy about that...but wow did God show us up! Man, I watched kids who are 7, 8,9,10, 11...and then some of the jr. high in the youth group have an encounter with God. I mean...it made me weep remembering when I was their age and I had that first true encounter with God that changed my life forever. I also just watched them and remembered how hungry I was at that age...and just how much easier it all seemed to be back then. Trust me, I wouldn't trade any of my struggles in...because they all have brought me into a deeper relationship with God. But I want so badly to be able to get them to understand that the time to start really seeking God is now! Not just at an altar when it's time to go back to school...but every single day. Wow though, it just gave me hope...knowing that right behind me is coming this force of young people who are continuing to raise the standard my generation is rising up to set.... God is just so awesome...and I truly believe tomorrow some strange stuff is going to start happening in some elementary, middle and high schools in south Jersey! AMEN!!! God's Blessings, Mel

| my best friend josh got married to my other friend melina two days ago and it was the most beautiful wedding i ever saw. i was a groomsman. i cried my eyes out. then i finished moving to the city and i found out that all my roomies are strong christians. always a good thing. i fixed my guitar. i bought myself some new good smelling soap today and twelve new picks. i bought my pet gecko some crickets today and a new lid for his cage. one of my new roomies is brazillian but looks very caucasian and speaks portuguese. i can't spell portuguese. i love jesus. i think i am in love with a girl. these things all make me smile. |
