| The "Must See" Movies of 2009 I know that I missed a lot of great movies from the year so I'm trying to compile a list of the ones that everyone thinks should be seen. Here's what I have so far:
9
500 Days of Summer
Adventureland
Avatar
Away We Go
A Serious Man
Blind Side, The
Coraline
Crazy Heart
District 9
Drag Me to Hell
Fantastic Mr. Fox
Funny People
Hangover, The
Hurt Locker,The
Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, The
Inglourious Basterds
Men Who Stare At Goats, The
Messengers
Moon
Nine
Paranormal Activity
Ponyo
Precious
Prophet, The
Public Enemies
Road, The
Sherlock Holmes
Star Trek
Up
Up In The Air
Where The Wild Things Are
White Ribbon, The
Zombieland
This is mostly thought of off of the top of my head. I'm aware that all of these aren't the best films, but I still think that they should be seen. I'm also aware that the list is lacking in Foreign and Independent films. My knowledge of those is minimal, so if anyone knows of any please feel free to add them. I'll edit the list with new entries as people post them.

| I would include The Blinde Side, for those who are sports fans. Plus Bullock's acting was great. |

| Also, Drag Me to Hell was my favorite movie this year.
Megan Fox was the worst thing to happen to theater this year. Jennifer's Body and Transformers 2 were among the worst films I've ever seen. Especially Transformers 2.

Maybe he could have used more tact, but he made a valid observation. And we're on a discussion board where you should anticipate people discussing what you have to say. |

| Okay...my list is pretty short cause I didn't really see that many movies, but The Blind Side, The Hangover, and Up were all awesome. I heard Zombieland was pretty sweet too.

I'm more likely to rewatch truly horrible movies like Demolition Man, Over the Top, or Judge Dredd than I am for an average action movie. I guess that makes the truly awful movies better than the merely average ones. |
