Did not know that, seeing as I don't use open office.

Yeah it's pretty awesome. The visual aspect of things is much the same as office 2007, but the new FILE tab is amazing. It provides a much easier-to-use interface, and includes many more template options as well.
Here are some screenshots. I'll use MS WORD 2010 as an example...
Each office application has a different color scheme as well. EX> word is blue, power point is orange, access is red, infopath is purple, excel is green, project is light green, sharepoint is yellow, outlook is gold, visio is indigo, and publisher is turquoise.
The info section provides you with an option to password-protect your work, convert it to be compatible with previous versions of office (back to 2000, I believe) and more.
The recent section displays a history of your recent documents.
The "new" section gives you an open directory to choose from hundreds of templates. The cool thing about it, is that it actually searches online for templates, so as new templates are added online, they become immediately available to you.
The print tab shows you a preview of what you are printing, and shows a cool new, simplified interface for selecting your print options.
The share tab is new in 2010. It allows you to save it to sharepoint (if you have sharepoint) and allows you to convert to pdf and whatever else you want to do.
And the "Help" tab is also new. The easier-to-use interface allows you to find a solution to your problem quickly and easily, getting you back on your way to completing your project.
