Oh also what is the undead nightmare? |
yes you can still get 100% if you fail the side missions, you just do them again, here is a link to the 100% completion
100% Completion - Red Dead Redemption Wiki
now don't go reading that now, it's a total spoiler for the game, just wait until you've completed the main mission, and then consult this.
but start working on the challanges, and the stranger missions those count and take the longest.
undead nightmare is a game add on to the main story, it's another story in itself about zombies, and it's actually quite fun. also if you purchase the undead nightmare pack it comes with the liars and cheats pack and the other multiplayer set and those are really good for multiplayer.
are you on xbox???? we can play together on multiplayer and go kill some folks

ok, the maps you buy at the general store are for locations, part of the 100% completion stat is to have "unlocked" or visited every single location on the map, i'm not talking towns i'm talking areas of the map that have different names. if you buy the maps, it let you know they are there and you "unlock" them without visiting the area, it helped me because there was one spot i never found. the treasure maps are exactly that, treasure maps. what you do is open the treasure map, look at the picture, and find it somewhere in the world, there are 10 total, as they are a challenge, but you get the next map when you find the treasure from the one before.
to access these you hit select and then move on the top through your inventory they're in the section where your skins are kept. the one you buy for regions you don't have to worry about, they don't do anything once you've bought them and have those areas opened.
theres another thing called a survivalist map, once you get one you can use it and it will show you where plants and flowers for pickin are. you will need it when you do the survivalist challenge or you will be working on it for months...
oh man, when i get home i'm gonna totally play this, now i've got my blood pumpin for some western action
