LOL i do that all the time so i can steal the coach and drive it off a cliff it's fun

or put it in front of a train, btw you should ride a horse and put it on the tracks, wait for a train, then watch the red mist (or a hog tied person, if you hogtie a lady, and put her on the tracks, and watch the train go by, it's an achievement.)

How often will the train go by? Will I be waiting an hour?

if you ride around and find the train go ahead of it and do it there, or go to the station it's at, and go in front a ways and wait for it to leave and pick up some speed and poof red mist.... you can find the train when you hit start and view the map, it's a little train icon.

Can I get 100% completion if I failed some of the side or mini quests? I seem to pull out my gun alot, and have ended up failing a few things because of it.

Oh also what is the undead nightmare?

Does anyone know what the maps you buy do? Come to think about it, someone gave me a treasure map in the beginning as well. I bought the maps at the store, and likely still have that treasure map somewhere, but where? How do I find them and what are their purposes (the ones store bought anyway)?

yes you can still get 100% if you fail the side missions, you just do them again, here is a link to the 100% completion
100% Completion - Red Dead Redemption Wiki
now don't go reading that now, it's a total spoiler for the game, just wait until you've completed the main mission, and then consult this.

but start working on the challanges, and the stranger missions those count and take the longest.

undead nightmare is a game add on to the main story, it's another story in itself about zombies, and it's actually quite fun. also if you purchase the undead nightmare pack it comes with the liars and cheats pack and the other multiplayer set and those are really good for multiplayer.

are you on xbox???? we can play together on multiplayer and go kill some folks

ok, the maps you buy at the general store are for locations, part of the 100% completion stat is to have "unlocked" or visited every single location on the map, i'm not talking towns i'm talking areas of the map that have different names. if you buy the maps, it let you know they are there and you "unlock" them without visiting the area, it helped me because there was one spot i never found. the treasure maps are exactly that, treasure maps. what you do is open the treasure map, look at the picture, and find it somewhere in the world, there are 10 total, as they are a challenge, but you get the next map when you find the treasure from the one before.

to access these you hit select and then move on the top through your inventory they're in the section where your skins are kept. the one you buy for regions you don't have to worry about, they don't do anything once you've bought them and have those areas opened.

theres another thing called a survivalist map, once you get one you can use it and it will show you where plants and flowers for pickin are. you will need it when you do the survivalist challenge or you will be working on it for months...

oh man, when i get home i'm gonna totally play this, now i've got my blood pumpin for some western action

Ahhh alright maybe if I have time at the end I will try to do all the challenges, and maybe go for some of the treasures (maybe even get an outfit or two). Its not really my game, but I'll play it until my brother wants it back (I traded him black ops for it). On the PS3, sorry Josey. Oh btw how do I check my inventory? I see weapons and map. Those are the only useful things.

Oh hey lets talk weapons. Everytime I start up it defaults me to the cool in any other setting but useless here shotgun that I had bought. Not really cool. The Winchester Repeater is great, most available ammo, big clip. But I am most happy that I bought the semi auto pistol. Love the speed at which I can shoot people with it. Much better than the rifle, and seems to be as accurate for the most part.

Ok first of all I want to say how boring the last missions were. I thought I was done after killing dutch. The ending made a lot of sense as to why it dragged out so long, but now I genuinely wish I had done all the challenges before completing the game. This kid is just plain annoying to listen to...

The high power pistol is the best pistol really strong and accurate and the buffalo rifle is the strongest rifle but slow on the firing, I use the winchestor because its the popular one for the time period and I use the double action revolver don't know why though.
idk on ps3 but for xbox to check inventory you hit select then use the top l and r buttons to select through it should be the same
