| MLB 2010 We're not talking about 2009 anymore.
Right now there's 266 free agents. There's no money. The winter Meetings were a wash for the most part and Scott Boras still has his head up his own bum.
So far Granderson has gone to NY, Soriano to the Rays and Wagner to the Braves. Not much else going on.
Bats:
Several teams have offered Holiday money but Scott Boras wont let him sign for anything less than a Tex contract, but with the current economy that isn't happening. Jason Bay is getting way more attention than originally predicted because he's a big bat but cheaper than Holiday and Boras isn't his agent. He was predicted to stay in Boston but he's pretty much given them a huge bird finger.
Other than that there are 12 FA's that hit 20 or more homers last year unsigned. These include Matsui, Laroche, DeRosa, and Mike Cameron
In pitching:
The Jays are shopping Halladay but he's only got one year left on his contract and most teams aren't interested in trading away good resources for a one year deal. Lackey is the big FA out there but right now it's looking like more people are interested in trading for Lowe as he's cheaper and more reliable, even though he had a disappointing 2009.
Then of course there's DOZENS of players who's being offered up for trades because their teams can't afford them. Money is tight and that is going to shape the 2010 season. You're gonna see a lot more 1 year deals and people hoping to get 2011 money which means A games.
So, anybody as excited as I am?

| Yes I am, I'm scared to lose Doc, but it's gonna happen sooner or later, I just hope we get someone worthy of his place.
The Jays need some serious changes, I don't know what, but they need to have a team that can win more than lose.
I hope Lind and Hill start hitting on top of their game "right off the bad" again.

#3 | | Cool enough Administrator | I'm pumped. My Giants have offered contracts to Nick Johnson, Mark DeRosa and Adam LaRoche. I would like any of them, but Johnson is an on base machine. |

| Bravos are also gunning for either DeRosa or Laroche. This should be fun.

Stephen Strasburg would be nice. Too bad the Nationals don't want Halladay.

I want that Canadian pitcher from Seattle to go to Toronto, because prospects basically means another few years of suffering to me.

#9 | | Not never but now. | The Red Sox are giving Lackey a psychical, reportedly. I think he would be an awesome boon the team but our problem really isn't pitching... |
