Need a pedal board..

I'd imagine that this thread is pretty self explanatory, but I need a pedal board. My rig has grown in the past month and will be growing thanks to wonderful guitar center deals

But the questions is; should I build a pedal board or buy one? I would like to build one cause if I out grow it, I'll be able to start from scratch with out wasting a few hundred dollars.

What do you think? I personally think I can make a nice one for under 50 dollars. I would just like to get others opinions.

eh.. it depends on what you need/want.

Are you going to travel with it? If so, then a hard case is a necessity.

How are you going to power all of your pedals? If all of your pedals (and the ones you plan on acquiring) run at 9v then I would suggest a 1spot adapter. Other options for power include the PedalPower system among others.

If you're gonna build your own, more power to ya. Just figure out what you need and what you want beforehand. And consider building a bit bigger than you need right now.. cus you probably will at some point.

Well I've thought about it and I decided I was going to make it like a case with 4 latches. 2 on each side going long ways and put a handle on it. I've thought about the 1spot, but I have an issue of guitar player from like 2 years ago and it said that dolly chain power supplies aren't recommended, but I can't remember why.

Some can create noise issues the longer your chain gets.

However, the 1spot works excellently. You can power 20 pedals without issues, in my experience.

Yep...I'm powering somewhere around 10 pedals with mine without any issues.
