actually it was that that happened. I used a an idea from a comedian for my security question and he figured it out. He claims he has the correct password, but that the account has been suspended due to suspicious activity. Hopefully we will be able to sort it out after leaving it alone for a week or so...

Still... I'm really annoyed.

Take that annoyance and turn it into positive energy to go fix your security questions and passwords on all your other accounts at other sites.

Ok so I finally got the full story.

Apparently he told gmail he couldn't remember the password then a new one got sent to my phone. I caught him with my phone and he panicked and deleted the message. So now the password is reset, and the message is gone. The worst part however is that it wont reset the password again due to suspicious activity.

Is it possible to read old (verizon) text messages on verizon's website?

Why does this person have access to your phone? You are never going to get this resolved if HE is dealing with Google and if he has access to other private stuff of yours. Get rid of him and call Google (or otherwise contact them) yourself. If you want to know if you can recover old Verizon messages, CALL VERIZON. I don't mean to be rude, but it's like you're not even trying to stop this from going further.

I left it next to the computer while he was at my house.

There is no way to call google. they don't even have decent online customer service

I actually have been, but there really isn't anything I can do. Verizon put me on hold for a ridiculous amount of time when I tried to call and I couldn't find what I was looking for on their website.

I guess my only option at this point is to try to figure out the answer to my security question.

According to Verizon, text messages can't be recovered without a court order subpoena. See here for details.

*EDIT* Congrats on getting it unlocked.
