| Though the article doen't cite such as the motivation: there are many areas, inlcuding much of Switzerland, with building codes designed to control how something looks or feels.
In the historic districts of many towns, or any number of other communities after a particular loko and feel (Pine Island, FL), there are strict controls on materials, styles, and colors of buildings. |

As in the buildings are just a by product of the nations feelings.

| If the purpose for the ban was to maintain homogeneity of architecture, I would fully approve it, but the article made it pretty clear that Switzerland is just trying to discriminate against Muslims.
I fully believe that the pluralistic religious environment in the US has prevented our Islamic immigrants from becoming resentful, angry, and sometimes violent, as they have in Europe. This is a big mistake in a country that is supposed to remain neutral. |

| To be fair: neutrality in multi-state wars doesn't infer equality within a countries borders. The US is pretty tolerant, and very non-neutral. |
