It was the weirdest thing I've encountered in a while. AVG was deleting the files because it couldn't scan them.

I did the system restore out of sheer desperation. I found the date of the AVG upgrade and restored it to the point just before that.


The same issue was preventing me from being able to upload photos to CGR. AVG was basically restricting access to files on my hard drive.

I've been long since convinced that AVG is actually malware. (Well, not really, but it doesn't do as good of a job as it should)

Yeah, I don't recommend AVG(Ever since the time it nearly killed my computer....)
I'd suggest avast! instead.

I used to use AVG very happily, but have switched in recent years as Avast seems to have taken over for free virus scanners.
