Circuit Bending

Anyone have experience with this? I just started looking into it recently and thought I could get some pretty interesting sounds from fiddling with some old pedals. This is probably one of the sickest mods I've seen:

I'm going to be honest, people go nuts over this circuit bending stuff but 99% of it sounds like garbage to me. And the other 1% goes from interesting to annoying in about 5 seconds. I've never seen any of it end up being musically useful.

I had a thread about a circuit bend I did to a Boss OS-2 on here once...

I can agree with the statement above mine to an extent. It's usable garbage.

I've written many songs around mine. It was a lot of fun. I sold it when I was strapping for cash.

I got my circuit bend off of Devi Ever's website. There's some cool stuff on there.

I also agree, but I'm hoping to use it not so much for music but other media. I started messing with an old knockoff chorus box today and think it might go somewhere.

Other media?

Like a movie of a black hole forming in your living room and you trying to inform the world of it before it engulfs all of existence?

I think if there were to be a black hole engulfing me, I'd rather not know ahead of time.

I'm really just trying to see what I can do with the minimal electrical knowledge I am. I like taking things apart and tinkering.

Tinkering has proved successful. I can now make an obscene farting noise when I press and hold down the footswitch on my OD-1. This is going in my worship chain.

There are actually some other interesting possibilities I found... If you're looking for different sounds without paying for a new pedal I would recommend messing around with this.
