Box of Goodies :)

So my roommates are moving, and one of them gave me a box full of old guitar effects. I don't know if they work or not yet, but even if not they can be fixed. So, lets take a look inside and see what goodies we can find.

Alright, there are four pedals in here, and I haven't heard of any of them.

DOD Performer 515-A Sustain
BOSS DF-2 Super Feedbacker & Distortion
BOSS PS-2 Digital Pitch Shifter /Delay

I'm going to test them tomorrow and see what works or not.

IIRC the DF-2 is supposed to be one of the coolest effects Boss ever made.

I watched a demo video of it on YouTube... if this pedal ends up working I'm going to have a LOT of fun with it.

So that DOD Sustainer takes either two 9V batteries, or it has a power jack in the form of a 1/4" female jack. The chances of me buying two nine volts are slim, and I have no idea how to power that, so looks like there's a power supply mod coming up in the future.

Free goodies. Got to love free stuff, especially if it's music related.

So, I messed with the feedbacker a bit. It is pretty awesome. I'm about to try the pitch shifter. I think I should throw that in the effects loop. I'll try both ways.

The pitch shifter is confirmed to sound terrible in the effects loop. However, it is also confirmed to sound COMPLETELY FREAKING AWESOME before the amp.

I'm going to have a lot of fun messing with these.
