I could be wrong, but it seems ot me that there is a contrast between the logic of western and eastern philosophies. Why do we attribute coherency to the western logical system and yet deem the eastern logical system as incoherent?

Please don't flame if I am mistaken.

So, is logic essentially based on culture and subjectivity? Or is logic universal...?

There's not one Western and one Eastern logical system. Some Westerners view some Eastern logics as incoherent because they play fast and loose with the so-called Law of Non-Contradiction. ("What is the sound of one hand clapping?") Personally, it strikes me as a bit dubious.

We hide behind our logic in order to have an abstraction that makes us Rational and proves to us that the Other is Irrational.

When you say "Western logic" I'm not sure what you mean.

Besides, Aksapada Gautama's system of logic is essentially compatible with Aristotle, and the School of Names from China shares similarities with Heraclitus (in the past) and Frege (in recent times).
