Anybody own a Jaguar bass?

I'm in the market for a new electric bass -- right now, I just own a Squier P-bass, and play frequently enough that I think I deserve an upgrade.

I really like the Fender Jazz basses, but I tried out a Jaguar bass at a music store this afternoon and loved it. The plethora of knobs/switches was a little confusing but something I'm sure I can get used to.

Is there anyone here who owns a Jaguar, or can help me choose between that and a standard Jazz bass?

Bassist in one of my old band's had one. It's fantastic. It's short scale, and I played it a few times. It's one of the best playing basses I've ever played.

Are you thinking of the Mustang bass? The Jaguar bass is full (34") scale.

I don't own one, but I have extensively played them, and I love them.
I'm really GASing for black one with a b/w/b pick guard and modified to be a p/j.

But even stock, these things rock. $600 off musicians friend...very hard to go wrong.
