| Dragon Age: Origins Hey....sooo....I don't know if I should put this here. It is about a video game....well, anyway...here I go...
Well, my dad got this new video game, Dragon Age: Origins. I've been playing it...and I have to say it's pretty fun. The fighting sucks, I think, because it's not real time combat...the story is pretty cool, though. But anyways...moving on....there are some things about that game that bother me. Like, how some mages can be possessed by demons....and how the characters in the game are always talking about spirits and things being inhabited by spirits and stuff like that. And they've got little idols everywhere in the game. And the game has a dark feel to it. And I really don't like that. And it bothers me when I play it. Also, the game is SO ADDICTING!! I stayed up until 3 a.m. this morning playing it...I had started at around 8 p.m., I think. When I finally did go to sleep, I had the most unpleasant dream. It was bloody and very dark....had the darkest feeling to it. I think maybe I had it because of the game....because of the feeling of the game. Anyway, so right now....I'm struggling with playing the game or not. Because it does bother me...it bothers me a lot. Then again, I think I'm addicted.
Has anyone else played this game? What's your opinion of this game?

| I've not played it so I have no opinion on it. Honestly, a large portion of video games will have some sort of magic and possession to them whether it's in the humans or other creatures. However, with all that said, if it bothers you then you shouldn't play it. If it becomes an addiction, yet again, you shouldn't play it.

| I just started playing the game and I must say that so far this game is very deserving of the Mature rating. If you feel uncomfortable playing it then you should stop playing it. You shouldn't for yourself into an uncomfortable position.
I'm not a fan of the fighting system, but that's probably because I haven't really figured out all the kinks to it yet. The graphics seem pretty bad for the 360 version but apparently are better for PS3, yet at the cost of a slower frame rate. Despite the not so good graphics I have still found the story to be pretty good and emotional. I'll save my final opinion till I'm more than an hour into the game though.

| Thanks guys. Yeah, I don't think I'll be playing it anymore.....trying my very hardest not to, anyway.
And bowstaff981, I will be looking forward to reading your final opinion of the game! I have to say.....the story plot is pretty interesting....it's like reading a book or something.

| did your father buy it for himself or for you? either way, perhaps sharing your concerns with your father would be wise, so he can consider keeping you accountable to not playing it (assuming you have decided not to do so). |

I kind of told him. I told him what it was that bothered me in the game....and he said that he could see how that would bother someone....but I didn't tell him that I wanted to stop playing or anything like that.

| My dad told me today that he was probably going to trade Dragon Age in for Red Faction. He says that he is starting to find the game disturbing as well. Sooo....I'm glad. That way the game will be out of the house!
Oh and I haven't even played it anymore, just to let yall know.
