Atheists offer to care for pets post-rapture

Anyone else heard of this?

I honestly don't know what to say. Except that from a purely economic standpoint, this is gold.

It's kind of a cute idea, isn't it?

Well, I guess if you're that worried about the Rapture, it would be a worthwhile investment.

Exactly. It's a perfect win-win. Believers/clients have insurance and freedom from worry, while employees/atheists have money with no anticipation of ever needing to fulfill their contracts.

Read the FAQ's. They're quite interesting. I seriously don't know whether to find this horribly manipulative or just hilarious.

That was my feeling. It would seem to me a believer would have freedom from worry already. (although I worry many times, about many things...I'm working on it)

When the Rapture happens, my car's up for grabs if the key's in the ignition and it hasn't crashed whilst unmanned.

He was crushed for our iniquities;

You should offer it to them formally. From their FAQ:

"Naturally, we must anticipate that there will be widespread chaos and confusion immediately following the Rapture that could impact travel times."

In all the chaos and confusion, an extra set of wheels could help them speed up their process considerably. Not to mention save them a lot of money on gas. I hear Raptures tend to bring rampant gas price inflation.

The joke's on them, it's not registered.

I'm betting all my friends that the world will not end in 2012. If I win, I cash in, and if I lose, well... we will all be dead anyways

Anyone silly enough to believe in a secret rapture apart from the time of the actual second coming of Christ deserves to be duped like this. I approve.
