new acoustic-electric

well I thought I was going to get a new electric, an epi lp probably, but now that I have just about enough money, I found out I'll probably be leading worship soon, so I'm probably going to need an acoustic-electric
any suggestions for a good acoustic-electric in the 200-300 dollar range? I've considered the Ibanez V70CE ($200) for some time now, but I also saw an ibanez for 300 on musician's friend, can't remember the model. Also I need a cheap hard case, so if any one knows of a good option there that'd be good too

Art & Lutherie, or any other Godin brand. These are the best guitars you will find in this range. You may have to look used (craigslist, kijiji, ebay, local music stores), but it is well worth it. Great guitars with solid tops at a price that cannot be beat. I might also keep my eyes open for a Walden. They make some pretty good budget guitars as well.

Alvarez makes a nice sounding guitar. Seagull is a good option, too.

I bought a Takamine EG-541C about ten years ago on e-Bay for $200. It served as my primary acoustic/electric for about five years and is now my goto back-up. Fantastic guitar if you can find one.

I picked up an Alvarez that was "Blemished" on zzounds.com for $250, and it was originally marked $400. I've always been pretty happy with it, and I still haven't found the blemish.

Is the EG540C similar to the 541C?

I don't know about "investment" at this price range. Anyone will draw about the same on the used aftermarket. On the good side low level Ibanez's tend to be built like tanks and the tuners hold in tune well. Being a little thinner and on a pure eye candy level the third model may draw some potential buyers that the other two would not.

well I didn't so much mean financially
I guess investment isn't quite the right word
but which one would be worth it's price in that I would continue to enjoy playing it for longer than like 3 or 4 months
I guess the best thing would be to go play them somewhere

Really, the ibanez's are not going to be anywhere close to the nicest in your price range. I noticed you ignored every bit of advice in this thread, so why did you ask again?

I am not trying to be ornery, but rather pointing out that I think you decided before you posted this thread.

that's a good point...idk
I guess cause I'm not as familiar with those guitars
however I did try some seagull and takemine guitars at the shop I went to
the takemines were alright, couldn't find the models the store had on musicians friend, I really liked the sound of the seagull I tried, I still think the headstock looks funny lol. But thanks for the advice, I'll keep an eye out on craigslist and see what comes up

Did you see any Art & Lutherie? Same maker as Seagull but (probably) cheaper and you may like the headstock better. They have solid tops, which is good as far as "investment" goes since solid top guitars generally sound better as they get older.
