New individual

hey all!

So i'm new (of course!) and just introducing myself. I've been playing guitar for about 3 yrs, and am going to a Bible College for Worship Arts/Music, and am currently a freshman there. Along with that, I'm taking guitar lessons there too, currently focused on Jazz guitar (because lessons learned in that style can be applied to all!). I have a Ibanez Artcore Semi-Hollow, Washburn Acoustic, and Yamaha Acoustic!
Some of my favorite bands are as follows: Blessthefall, August Burns Red, TDWP, A Day To Remember, (old) Dance Gavin Dance, (new) Emarosa, Choidos (w/ Craig Owens), Hillsong, Kutless...I could continue, but you get the idea

Hi all you wonderful people!
I am sort of new, been away for a while. I have been moving, moved to sunny Florida! My family and I love it here, no more snow! I am a disabled veteran who loves to play guitar & fish! I am married to the worlds greatest wife & mom ever and we have 11yr old twins, boy & girl. I am currently playing a Fender Strat w/ Marshall 10" amp & Crybaby. I also play an Applause electric/ accustic, sometimes using a Dean Markley accustic pickup for a fuller sound. I just started teaching my son to play, i'll really need God's help for this!
GOD BLESS YOU ALL & GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!

r3vo1ution1991--great to have you here. Sounds like you really know your way around the fretboard, or at least are learning to. I always thought that jazz guitar meant there weren't any rules, just suggestions...maybe that's just the way i play

michelstyris--I'm just learning some IT, and enjoying it. I've achieved my A+ and Network+ certifications, and currently unemployed, but hey, millions of Americans can't be wrong! I'm certainly not alone. Glad to have you here, it's a great site to while away many hours

supercoop--First and foremost, thank so much for your service to our country! It sure sounds like you are surrounded by a great family, which should help you transition into your future. The guitar is a wonderful way to connect with God and offer back the gifts He's given us. I also have had the tribulations of trying to teach guitar to my 16 year old daughter, so I understand the frustrations there! Of course I never learned how to play officially, so I certainly don't know how to teach properly either. Welcome to the site, great to have you here!
