| Finally! I just got my new favorite effect working! My BYOC Lazy Sprocket! If you haven't checked one of these out do so. For an example listen to Thrice's Stare at the Sun, it's the intro effect with the volume swells. I'd post clips but I have no recording gear. |

| I had an original Boss Slow Gear a long time ago. I used it very little. It didn't recognize a new plucked note very well which I think is essential for the effect to effective (pun intended).
I designed/built a better working version of it and sold the Boss one off. I still don't use it that much even though it works 100% better than the original. Does the BYOC version work well? Does it recognize new notes ok? Can you play fast with it or do you have to play really slow for it to work? |

| I never understood these pedals. What can they do that a volume pot or a volume pedal can't? |

If you are going to do a lot of swells while playing the volume knob on your guitar wouldn't be great to be playing with. As far as a volume pedal goes, I guess it would free you from your pedal board and your foot from getting tired. Mines also pick sensitive. I think the Boss one was also. |

And that's the important thing. |
