Though wasn't the original Nighthawk a sub-$1000 guitar?

They also used to have the slanted pickups and blade-type selector switch.
The new one looks like a baby Les Paul. Maybe that's intentional... |

| still for the price I'd rather buy a used BFG. I think the "Hawk" is a need concept though. |

| There's something... off... about the way it looks. I'm gonna have to pull up pictures of the original ones and see what it is.
That's a really high price too! I remember playing one in a music shop about 10 years ago and the price was $700 new!
I always liked these guitars, and I love the way they sound, but being 6' 4" I always thought it looked like a toy on me

| I would rather have a BFG Studio, or Gary Moore.....
I do love the bucker/90 combo guitars though...

| Probably one of the ugliest guitars to come from the Gibson family. My 2 cents.

I guess for what the new 'hawk comes with, the $1600 price seems on par with Gibson's pricing: AAA top, bound contoured body, nitro finish, Kluson tuners, P90/Bb3 combo and a hard shell case. This is no "Faded" series guitar. |

| Thanks Dave. You've made my GAS! That's a pretty good price for a limited run of only 200. IMHO, these are nicer than the original. |

Ok, who stole Kentl's password? This is the most un-Kentl sentence ever.
