The new one looks like a baby Les Paul. Maybe that's intentional... | To me, that does not look like a nighthawk. I would be interested in a real one.

I guess for what the new 'hawk comes with, the $1600 price seems on par with Gibson's pricing: AAA top, bound contoured body, nitro finish, Kluson tuners, P90/Bb3 combo and a hard shell case. This is no "Faded" series guitar. | SG's are one of my favorite looking guitars. I don't think I want to see your guitar collection anymore . . .

By all means, enlighten us with the guitars you consider to be better looking than Gibsons.

I wish I could explain to you why I dislike the SG body shape so much, but I really have no idea. It is something that I've held since I was a kid. Even my biggest early influence, Gary Rossington, played an SG for some of his slide guitar parts, but I remembering not caring for the look of that guitar at all. I've even played a few and while they've played nice and sounded cool, holding the thing was like holding an ugly baby.
Now we return you back to your regularly scheduled thread... |
