| By posting here, I'm guessing you're at least still open to help. That's definitely a major start. If you think it could be medical then go ahead and check out a psychologist or counselor in the area (always a bonus if he or she is a Christian). There's certainly nothing wrong with seeking medical support if it can do something for you.
I've dreamed of a music career since I was in middle school. Music is by far my greatest gift, yet it's extremely unlikely that I'll ever be able to pursue something in that direction, because I'm not that good. It's not exactly fun to accept that the one thing I can do well is still on a level much lower than a heck of lot of other people. I think the best consolation is to focus on the purpose of your talent; to glorify God. 1 Corinthians 12 is good with this in my opinion (and really, 13 and 14 as well). If you are seeking to praise God, and to draw others to do so as well, then I think your talents will be plenty effective.
Last thing, 2 Corinthians 12:7-9. Someone pointed out the first part of that passage to me the other day. Maybe the reason I'm not excelling at some things as much as I'd like to is simply to keep me from becoming proud about them. I hope this is encouraging, and I'll be praying for you.
