| To answer the OPs original question "why can't I own a Canadian". I suspect the answer for you specifically is you can't afford one. They are after all, fairly expensive and it's been my experience it's very hard to get a bank loan to purchase one with out a large down payment. If I were you, I'd look for something a little more affordable, perhaps a domestic model, something from California maybe. |

And BTW, Portuguese is a HARD, HARD language to learn. They make sounds that aren't natural. Of course my crew is trying to learn English and that's no easier for them. It took one deck hand the better part of an hour to get the pronunciation for "worthless" down. They do not use the "th" sound at all. |
