Ford 360

Did Ford put a 360 in their F-150 custom?

The Ford FE block lived in many cars and trucks. Yes, they put 360s in 1/2 ton trucks. Did your specific truck come with one? We need the year to know that, but the odds are no one swapped one in (this being said by someone in the process of swapping a 360 for a broken 390).

Ninja Edit: FE engines are big blocks, even though Chevy 400s are small blocks, and Dodge 360s are small blocks.

I had a 68 with a 360. That was one tough work truck. Strong and dependable. I had a 79 short box with a built up 390. That truck was fast and fun as heck. I miss the 79, although the way I drove it as I remember the mileage was just about single digit...probably not really that bad, but pretty poor mileage -- maybe 12-15 mpg.

*Edit* I don't believe my 68 was a custom, and it wasn't a half ton...so I guess that's not helpful to the OP...just general information, I guess.
