NCAA Basketball 2009-2010

ESPN/USA Today poll came out today...
NCAA College Basketball Polls, College Basketball Rankings, NCAA Basketball Polls - ESPN

I'm really excited that Mississippi State is ranked 19. There will be some great games this year between MSU and Kentucky in the SEC.

Also, it's sad seeing Memphis with only three votes. I hope Josh Pastner and company can surprise some people.

Pastners an excellent recruiter, next year they should be dangerous.
The UK-Miss State game(s) will be epic ... if each team has all of it's players.
It looks like the championship is Kansas' to lose.

If I have learned anything over the years, it's that anything is possible when they tip off the season. I certainly like Kansas' chance to win a lot of games this season, but a championship comes with a lot of luck as well as talent.

Looking forward to a great year!

Either Kansas is vastly overrated, or Memphis is better than I thought. Then again, last night's game was pretty sloppy.

A game in the 50's indicate how sloppy it was.

I think there is that element of luck that I was referring to earlier, come to pass for the Jayhawks. I do believe that Memphis will pick up some more voters come next poll.

Look at that! Ohio State is ranked. Actually, I don't care very much.

I'm rather excited to see Michigan play this year. Too bad they're not on TV that much :/

Me neither. College basketball is very boring 96% of the time.

North Carolina sure looked good against a very good Mich St team. There's a real good chance both teams could be final four material and see each other again.

In looking at their schedules, it seems Texas has both teams within a few days of each other; Texas is good, but these matchups will determine just how good.

I'm rooting for the Spartans this year, mostly because of Kalin Lucas - I love that guy.

I actually got to go to the UNC/Michigan State game and it was a good one. I really thought that the Spartans might beat us. They owe us one big time after the two games last year. They returned a good chunk of their team from last year and we lost a good chunk. It made for a good game though. The crowd (myself included) was really into it.

UK-UNC tomorrow. It'll be Kentucky's first even match. Shaping up to be an exciting game.

I give Kentucky the edge in this one. They also owe us big time for stealing one away four years ago when Hansbrough was a freshman. I think it will be a good game though. UK has the edge at the point guard position for sure.
