Ubuntu 9.10 out today!

Anyone downloading/installing this yet? I'm doing a fresh install of my sisters' computer running the RC.

Nope. I haven't used Ubuntu since version 8.something...

I've neglected Gentoo for too long, so it's been giving me fits while updating...

I am typing this on Dvorak,my latest computing venture (I'm awful slow).

OOh. Dvorak is fun.
I tried that a while ago, but I've been too lazy to keep up with it.

I just upgraded today. Pretty nice so far, although most of the features I have noticed to this point have been visual. It took me a few minutes to get flash working in Firefox 3 as well.

Okay, one major difference so far. My suspend and hibernate work! These haven't worked on any previous version of Ubuntu on my computer. To be fair, I'm not sure if I ever tested it on Intrepid, so its possible it worked then. But it certainly didn't work on any version before that.

It's fixed a lot of things for me as well.

But then again, I've switched from GNOME to xfce...

Openbox FTW?

Actually, I'm using Gnome + Openbox, so that Gnome handles some lower-level stuff more elegantly (networking, keyboard shortcuts, etc).

Hmm... has anyone here been using Ubuntu One? I'm trying to use it to automatically back up some files, but its not working as I would expect. I have to actually move files to the Ubuntu One folder for them to back up... creating links doesn't seem to work. Also, when I move a folder to my Ubuntu One folder only a few of the files in it seem to appear on the web. I'm pretty confused. Any one here had any luck with it, or is it just still buggy due to being in Beta?

How exactly are you doing this? Did you replace metacity with openbox?
