If I ever win something that warrants giving an interview or speech the first person I'm going to thank is Ron Artest.

Is it just me, or was the officiating in the second half extremely inconsistent? I mean, these are my two least favorite teams, so I am fairly impartial. I felt like the Celts got a bit hosed on a late rebound that absolutely should have been a loose ball foul on the Lakers. Lots of missed/blown calls both ways, but man, that one was at a big moment, and really buried the Celtics.

Oh well. That game reminded me why I dislike basketball so much right now.

I've learned to expect the Lakers are going to get the majority of the calls late in big games...especially at home. I know I'm cynical, but I think it has something to do with the celebrities in the seats.

I saw part of Kobes interview after the game and he was asked what this title meant to him. He said, "it means I have one more than Shaq". After all these years, with Shaq being no longer relevant, that's still Kobe's motivator? Is Kobe really that miserable?

I think more than anything it was a sarcastic response. There was a period of time where everyone in the media was saying that Kobe was nothing without Shaq and even Shaq was saying that Kobe couldn't win a title without him. Shaq isn't Kobe's motivator.

This.

I don't understand why everyone seems to hate Kobe. I appreciate his motivation and the fact that he takes the game seriously and treats it like it is his full time job (which it is). Better than a lot of other "great" players who just sit on their skill once they think they've arrived and never improve.

Nothing said about Lebron leaving yet? Miami fans have to be pumped, but I think it might be a challenge feeding Bosch, Wade and James the ball enough.

There's a whole thread about it actually, haha. As pumped as Miami fans are, it's amazing how (understandably) frustrated the rest of the cities involved are. Not just the organizations and management, but the fans themselves. I'm fairly frustrated myself!

It's simple...

Lebron will shoot constantly. Bosh will score on every offensive rebound. Wade will shoot when the game is on the line and the Heat need a closer.

My problem with Kobe is just that he whines a lot to the refs, but then in postgame he talks like he's this big tough guy (or "80's baby" as he refers to himself as) when in reality he'd be perfect for FIFA. If he was the only thing going against the Lakers then it wouldn't be so bad, but I can't cheer for Derek Fischer. That guy is classless. The only person I can't stand more than him is Rondo, thus why I cheered for he Lakers during this finals series.
