Yes the little pops are pretty annoying when you listen for them. Using a separate AC adaptor fixed 90% of it for me, still a little noticeable. I don't use it for recording, so for a live situation with everything else going on it's fine. The Echo Park is totally the weak link in my signal chain, other than maybe my totally tone-sucking wah pedal.

It does appear most sites are expecting a January release, yes.

I know it sounds so crazy, but after listening to demos of the original Memory Boy compared to Memory Lane and ML2 demos, I've got to find a way to get a Memory Lane 2. Sooo buttery smooth.

I think you're thinking of the Memory Boy. The Deluxe Memory Boy is anticipated to run around $175.

That being said, if your local GC has mislabeled some Deluxe Memory Boys as Memory Boys, then buy it!
