Try vocalizing what you are playing while using your wah. You'll start to find some cool things you can do in mimicing the voice | See, I've used that technique before... it just doesn't seem to have a place in any worship music that I can find. |

| My wah pedal has been sold.
In other pedalboard news, my DD-6 is off of my board and has been replaced by a Line6 Echo Park. Such a major improvement! I like the tape and analog settings on the echo park more than the sounds of my Nova Delay.
I now have the Nova Delay and the Echo Park on the front line of my board, so I can tap in song tempos at the beginning of a song. Much more useful for rhythmic delays than the DD-6. |

| ahhhhhhhhh another new pedal. This is an BYOC Overdrive 2 that I had the genius SBN do a little work on for me. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet... I don't know if I will until Sunday.. then again.. I don't know if I can wait that long. haha |

I dubbed the pedal "LeoDrive" for inside joke reasons.
Now this might not look like downsizing to you...but this is most likely going to replace my fulldrive 2. We'll see how I like it on Sunday.. |

Much more useful for rhythmic delays than the DD-6. | I love and hate my Echo Park. The dotted eighth tap mode is so beautifully simple and has never failed me once. I use it in probably 9 out of 10 songs we play during worship service. I put the mix at about 2 o'clock and the repeat at around noon, and just tap the first four beats of the song... works perfectly every single time.
I hate it because the 'analog modeling' doesn't sound all that great, at least to my ear. Especially after playing with the Carbon Copy. It's also a big clunky eyesore on my pedal board, and it introduces noise into my signal unless I complete isolate its power source from the rest of my pedals. This is stupid and shouldn't be necessary.
So... until I can drop $600 on a Diamond ML2 which is 100% analog, AND has tap tempo, AND has my wonderful dotted 8th note setting... the Echo Park is the only other option.

And I also like the analog setting. My favorite feature on this pedal though... definitely the tape delay setting. I used my DD6 for ambient stuff for over a year, but now this pedal, in around a week, has completely changed how I do ambient sounds. So great!
And it sounds to me like you could use a NovaDelay. Its a very different analog sound than anything Line6, really good tap, nice dotted eight. Check it out. Quote:

Deluxe Memory Boy. Analog delay with tap tempo and I believe it also has dotted 8th. The price point is allegedly <$200. |

| No, its legit. The price here is $179.
*Edit* World Music Supply also has it for $179 (pre order of course). I guess they plan to release at NAMM in January. I'm super interested in this.

It went away when I isolated it with its own power supply. My six other pedals do just fine on the 1spot so I'm not sure what the actual issue is, but it's fine the way it is with its own AC adaptor.
And yeah... wow. Looks like I'll be trading in my Echo Park for a Deluxe Memory Boy, without a second thought. Any word on max delay time?

| The Memory Boy is very very very intriguing... I'm not sure I'm understanding the purpose of the EFX loop... does anything in the loop affect only the trails but not your original signal? If that is the case.. then I'm buying one. I've been looking for a delay with that feature forever. |

Visual Sound goes into detail on their website as to why most pedals work fine with the 1Spot but the L6 pedals are noisy. |

| So I was messing around with my echo park tonight.. and started noticing some noise. I tried running it from an external source, and it still introduced clicks and pops into the signal.. this could turn out to be quite annoying.. in the end.. its just making the memory boy look more and more attractive. January release date, you said? |
