| SBN's Build Your Own Baby Sale Some of you who know my plight can guess from the title what this is about. If you don't know, well, fertility treatments/procedures are expensive. So, I'm going to be posting some pedals here over the next week that I hope someone can put to good use.
These first 4 are stock BYOC builds. Built by me, I'll guarantee the workmanship totally. They are all UNFINISHED, but ready to go. Good if you want to create your own look or vibe. If you'd like me to finish them with some simple decal labels for the controls and the catchy name of your choice and change the LED color, I will do so for 10 bucks.
1. BYOC Flanger - sold
2. BYOC Overdrive 2 - sold
3. BYOC Leed Fuzz - sold
4. BYOC Tremolo -sold
---------------------------
In addition, here are some name brand pedals
5. Digitech Bad Monkey. I'm convinced this is the best brand name TS based OD for under 80 dollars. I changed the LED color from Red to Blue. The really awesome thing about this bad boy is that by maxing out the EQ controls the mid hump disappears, giving you a whole new pallet. Velcro on the bottom. $25
6. M-Audio Black Box. I really hate to see this one go. Basically an amp modeler, but so much more. It's not made anymore...it never got great support, but it sounds great. The real joy of it was the modulation effects....great live, and can be beat synchronized with a tap tempo. I used to run this with the amp models off through the effects loop of my ac-30 for modulation and delay...fantastic. Lots of tweaking involved though, and not a lot of control options for live performance. It's obviously used and has some battle scars, but nothing major. 85 dollars, or make me an offer.
Thats all right now, but I'll post some more next week. I've got some boosts (some BDABs and one Soviet power boost), ODs, chorus, and maybe a phaser and a delay. Please tell your friends. In addition, anyone in the next two weeks that wants to commission a pedal, I'll make you a very good deal.
Thanks.

| I've never noticed it coloring the tone. Before I started building my own pedals, this was a primary dirt pedal (next to my blues driver). I used it everywhere and never noticed it sucking tone. I bought it after I got my ac30, and a lot of guys on some snotty tube amp forum were ranting and raving about how well it matched up with their ac30s. I figured for the small investment it was worth it, and yeah, it really sounds great. It colors the sound like any tubescreamer type pedal will, but by turning the high and low knobs up you get a fairly transparent OD that sounds little like a tube screamer (to my ears). If only they didn't make it so ugly.

| OK, an update.
7. BYOC phaser. ( picture). This is nearly stock. I used upgraded opamps for a lower noise floor, and tantulum caps which...well, I don't really know what they do, but call it mojo and be done with it. Smooth sound....nice little phaser. Kinda of a strange blue-ish paint job. I've used this pedal for a while now. Paint is slightly chipped and pitted, but still looks good. $60 Deal Pending
8. BYOC Fuzz. ( picture). Stock. This IS NOT the ESV version. Ok, it's ugly. A good opportunity for someone to sand it down and do their own thing. The paint is already starting to wear off in some places. Transistors are ac127s. This pedal sounds great, but it's temperamental. The germanium transistors change with the temperature. On a hot day this pedal sounds like poop. The rest of the time, it's got a nice vintagy sound that's worth it. $60.
9. SBN Lil Eagle. Sold
10. SBN Big Daddy Amp Blaster. I've got parts for BDABs galore. Seriously. Want one? $65. I'll honor that price until the 21st.
11. SBN Lil Eagle I've got parts for these guys too, just sitting around, not making music...not fulfilling their destiny.... $70 until the 21st.
Thanks a lot to everyone who's picked something up so far. Every little penny counts. I've got a few more things I'm mulling over getting rid of. If you're looking for something, let me know. I might be able to help you out. Tell your friends too.
