T-Rex Replica MIDI Input

Hey everyone, I recently bought a used replica and I could not be happier with it! The sound is everything I was hoping for and more.

My question has to do with the MIDI input: Is it possible to use this to set BPM for live usage?
My church runs a full pro-tools rig live with click tracks and loops, and I cannot stand when my repeats are even a little off tempo. What would i need to to buy to accomplish this? Thanks!

According to the manual, it responds to two MIDI CC numbers. 20 for Tap/Tempo and 21 for Bypass. It doesn't really say anything more than that. It's not clear if by "tempo" they mean it will lock to MIDI clock or not. You'd think it would for as much as it costs. It also doesn't say which MIDI channel it uses. Maybe it's in an omni mode. I'll see if I can find out more.

Apparently it does sync to clock...so you shouldn't have to buy anything extra. A MIDI cable from the interface to your pedal should do it. Just make sure the software is sending out the clock signal and you should be good.

Thanks for checking that out! I have zero experience working with MIDI, so let me just make sure I have this right. I would need to download a software MIDI Clock, and then run a MIDI cable from my laptop to the pedal and voila?

You'll probably want to take it from the Pro Tools rig.
