Most rad guitar on cgr.

Okay, so this thread is for those of us who have ridiculous 80's guitars to look and laugh. I'll be the first to admit I own a couple of 80's guitars that would get me laughed out of most places. Show that rad eighties axe off.

(I may have to finish work on the breadwinner and show it off too.)

By the way, both of these guitars are some of the most awesome sounding guitars I have played and play great.

Bill, what is that guitar on the right? It looks like a Peavey headstock?

The one on the right doesn't have a headstock. Speaking of...is that a Steinberger? Not sure about their guitars but the basses still seem somewhat popular. Nothing compared to a Fender-style but still...

When I was shopping for my first bass (first instrument also) I saw a neon-green warlock bass at a pawnshop. About this shade:

I really wish I got it..... That would of been awesome to play in high school orchestra....

Peavey Mantis, with a Bill Lawrence 500xl in the bridge. That thing flat out screams. I just put it together today. It was a pawn shop reject. (missing its pickup, some screws and strings) In fact, If I go playing with a group of guys I know, I may take this ridiculous one as I think it is by far my best axe for thrash.

The other is an '81 Kramer, the duke. It has an Aluminum neck, and lower action cannot be found. Great travel guitar/ weapon for warding off attackers.

Well, mine isn't outrageous in shape or color, but it is from the 80's and a little...different. 1986 Fender Performer, MIJ. My wife bought it new as a Christmas present for me. The pickups are humbuckers with a split option, and unlike many others, they sound very good in either single or humber mode. It came with a locking nut, but I removed it and put it in the case.

I don't have an 80's model, but I have one that looks like it should have come from the 80's. I may post a picture. I'm not sure yet.

I want one of these so bad. Aluminium necks are ridiculously cool.

I only have one 80's model and it's not really that wild or out of the ordinary. It's an '81 Gibson Flying V that's still a work in progress. I have another thread about it.
