#1 | | certainly does throck | Thinking about buying a PS3... Yeah as soon as i get a job, or some money randomly thrown my way, I think I'll get one
I've just about exhausted my Wii - the only thing left to do is play through the Metroid Prime Trilogy, then I'm all out of good games until Mario Galaxy 2, New Super Mario Bros and Metroid Other M come out next year
OK so PS3 games i'm thinking about are:
MGS4
GTA4
RE5
Uncharted 1 & 2
God of War 3
Fallout 3
COD Modern Warfare 2
Tekken 6
Orange Box
Anyone got any more game suggestions, PS3 advice, info about any games etc? Help would be appreciated |

But yeah, the PS3 seems to be getting into the swing of it now, so I'd its as good a time as any to get one(And with the new Slim and all...) |

And if you missed the first two God of War titles on the PS2 they're being re-released in November on a single blu-ray in God of War Collection

A couple more questions...
1. how big would you recommend the hard drive to be? Is 40GB a lot for PS3 games, because in terms of computers, thats a decent amount if youre only doing one specific thing, but I wouldnt think game saves would take up heaps of room. I'm not planning on downloading music to it or anything like that, just playing games
2. Does the PS3 have Wi-Fi capabilities like th Wii, or do you need an ethernet cable to play online?
3. would you recommend getting an HDMI cable with it instead of the regular AV cables?
thanks again |

And you can always upgrade it, like I said. Quote: |

The PS3 doesn't use proprietary HDDs--you can use pretty much any 2.5" SATA drive. I had a spare 100 GB drive so I just slapped it in mine. But you can do >500 GB if you wish. Quote: |

| Yes. It has built in Wi-Fi. Quote: |

| If you're going to be playing in high definition then you need an HDMI cable. Otherwise the PS3 does support standard def (480i).

| Fallout 3 is so much fun!
I would, however strongly recommend that you stay as far away from Lemmings as possible. Worst 5 dollars I have ever spent. HAHA.
I have an 80 gig hard drive and have yet to find any problems with it. As Josh stated, if you're jsut playing games, you're golden.
Another perk for the ps3 is you get that snazzy little Blu-Ray player built right in. |
