Classical Crossover Artists/Music

Hi, I'm a newer member.

Some of my favorite singers are what you'd call "classical crossover". These artists sing classical, combined with a variety of styles, such as folk, pop, jazz, etc.

Some of the most well-known classical crossover artists are Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman, Josh Groban, Il Divo, Hayley Westenra, Russell Watson, Sissel, Katherine Jenkins, Charlotte Church, Faryl Smith, Kelly Sweet, and many others.

My favorites are Hayley Westenra and Josh Groban, and I also like Kelly Sweet, Sarah Brightman, and Andrea Bocelli.

Who are your favorites?

Check out Hayley Westenra at HAYLEY WESTENRA: OFFICIAL SITE - WWW.HAYLEYWESTENRA.COM
Josh Groban: Josh Groban Headlines | Josh Groban

There is a great website devoted to classical crossover artists, Fans of Classical and Crossover singers, where you'll find videos, photos and discussions on many different artists:
fans of classical & crossover female singers - Share, discuss, find out more about your favorite female singer!
Fans of Classical & Crossover Male Singers - Share, discuss, find out more about your favorite male singer!

Is everyone here classical purists, or something? I have a hard time believing that nobody here has even heard of Josh Groban!

It's not that no one's heard of them, this just isn't a frequented section of the forum and I'm not really surprised there aren't big classical crossover fans here. I've heard of several of the artists you named in your first post, I'm just not really into any of them.
