| My fiancee's mom went to see this and said is was boring and not scary.
This is also coming from the same woman who thinks Christine is a genuinely scary film.
I have decided she is only scared by things that aren't scary.

| I don't think it was boring, but I thought it was more funny than scary. I think most scary movies are funny, though.

| I liked the movie, but what I found more interesting was the production of the movie.
The director is a first time director with no background in film. He had a budget of $15,000 for the movie, hired actors by placing ads on craigslist, and filmed the entire movie at his house in San Diego. |

That guy, and those actors are most likely now millionaires (if the director wasn't already - he had a ridiculous house).
As far as low budget movies go, It is up there with Napolean Dynamite.

| It holds the record for the highest grossing film for that low of a budget. 15 grand turned into $103 000 000.
I watched it last night, there were a couple parts that scared me, but generally it wasn't remotely as scary as it had been hyped to, and this is saying something, because i'm not one of those people that think all scary movies of the past decade havn't been scary. I nearly peed my pants when watching Emily Rose, hell, I thought 'When a Stranger Calls" was scary.
I was surprised, because anything to deal with demons usually scares the crap out of me. It actually probably had a lot to do with the fact that my version was pirated, and by the end of the movie, the sound was a good 10-15 seconds behind the motion. So a door would slam and a people would run and 15 seconds later you'd hear it. I'm thinking that ruined the movie for me, I don't know how I managed to finish the film like that.

If the sound doesn't sync up, you get a release of tension before it's meant to be released. That would definitely ruin the film for me... |

| I suggested stopping it when it started getting bad, then going out to rent a copy, but my roommate figured that since we had made it that far, me mays well finish it.
Unfortunate, it probably ruined a good movie.
But I hadn't actually realized that it was a movie based on demonic oppression, if I had known that, I probably wouldn't have watched it in the first place.
